Roman Vrtiška (b. 1982) and Vladimír Žák (b. 1980)The duo met while still studying at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, where they began working together, also completing an internship together and Alvar Aalto University in Helsinki, where their work received multiple awards. They have been working together for ten years, and together with their team have dedicated themselves to projects in the fields of architecture, interior design and product design. Since 2016 they have led the Furniture and Interior Design studio at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. The signature of their work is a strong, rational perspective. As they themselves say, only once a project works well on a functional level can you then impart emotions into it.
