Parisotto+Formenton Architetti is a design firm established in 1990 by Aldo Parisotto and Massimo Formenton with offices in Padua and Milan. This partnership began at the IUAV University of Venice, where both partners graduated in Architecture. The research of P+F Parisotto+Formenton Architetti focuses on multiple areas, from interior design to architecture, product design to art direction. In over 25 years of activity, the firm has developed extensive experience on a national and international level. In the field of interior design, their core business has always been retail design in collaboration with important fashion and luxury brands (Alexander McQueen, Brioni, Celine, Eleventy, Salvatore Ferragamo, Testoni, Valentino) and food brands (Haagen Dazs, Ferrarelle, Nespresso, Patchi). Creators of the concept for the Nespresso boutiques in 2009, they have designed stores for the coffee trademark all over the world, including the flagship stores of Paris Champs-Elysées and Piazza Liberty in Milan. The Nespresso Boutique Bars in Toronto, San Francisco and Beverly Hills have won awards assigned by prestigious institutions like the Retail Design Institute.
In the world of architecture they have focused on the theme of museums, such as the Centanin Museum (Monselice, PD, 2000); and on residential projects in urban and natural settings (selected and illustrated in the monograph Atmosfere Domestiche, Electaarchitettura, 2014). They have also worked on commercial facilities, such as the Eraldo building, a true work of architecture for fashion in Ceggia (VE). The firm’s projects for offices include the emblematic restoration of the historic Palazzo Ricordi in Milan (the oldest building in the world to achieve LEED Gold Core&Shell certification), completed with the project of regeneration and creation of a pedestrian zone for the streets adjacent to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II (for the occasion of Expo 2015). Regarding product design, they work with outstanding companies in the furniture and lighting sectors (Baleri Italia, cc-tapis, Cea Design – with which they won the Wallpaper Design Award 2019 for the Hook system designed with Natalino Malasorti, Cimento Collection, Firmamento Milano, FontanaArte, Martini Light, Mingardo, Minotti Cucine, True Design, Viabizzuno); in the field of yacht design the studio has created interiors for sailing and motor yachts, working with Sanlorenzo, Cantiere del Pardo and Mylius (in collaboration with the architect A. Simeone).
In the area of art direction, Parisotto+Formenton collaborate with leading Italian furniture manufacturers: they have contributed to the launch of the start-up of the maker Mingardo, coordinating the brand and its collections from its birth (2012) until 2016. Since 2014 they have worked with True Design, a brand in the contract furnishings sector (the Millepiedi seating system was included in the ADI Design Index 2016, and the Wing family of tables won the Archiproduct Design Award 2017). At the start of 2017 Aldo Parisotto was appointed as art director of Baleri Italia, coordinating the brand’s global renewal project, and in 2019 he began to work with Sai Industry as art director of the brand Cimento, coordinating its image and designing the first collection of decor complements in light concrete for indoor and outdoor use, presented at Milano Design Week 2019, during the event Interni Human Spaces, for which the duo also designed the Passaggio in Blu pavilion of Cimento, an evocative, quiet oasis suggesting the seaside in Milan. The studio is currently involved in various projects of urban development, including residential and industrial complexes.
