Nidi is associated with the historic Battistella company founded in 1953 - the first in Italy to produce children's furnishings in laminate materials. The Nidi design project was launched in 2013, continuing Battistella's attention to design, its craft-based approach and production capacity. Nidi addresses the needs of children and teenagers focusing on how space affects their daily lives and development. Nidi collections create a colourful world that responds to the needs of its users, devised to change over time, accompanying children and young people through the different phases of their early lives. With all production taking place in Italy, Nidi furniture is based on solid tradition, highly specialised know-how and new technologies underpinned by a commitment to sustainability. These values characterise Nidi's corporate culture, in addition to the quality and creativity of all its proposals.
Nidi, design and function for children and youth
Beauty, ergonomics, function and safety are the main features of Nidi furniture for children and young people. The brand aims to make every space hospitable, stimulating, safe and relaxing, creating the best possible environment in which to learn, play, sleep and grow. Nidi's complete furnishing solutions include wardrobes, beds, bookcases, study areas, accessories, textiles and carpets for children's rooms. Niko is a highly versatile, light and practical night table with shelves that can be added to the basic structure. Moreover, it can be easily transported thanks to a handle on the back; when turned upside down, it becomes a practical seat. Jack was designed in 2019 as a multimedia night table/tech station with two USB sockets, Bluetooth speakers and under-counter wireless charging. The Jack collection is completed by a chest of drawers, a coat rack and a wardrobe with sliding doors and a full-height side handle. The Lila wardrobe with its sliding doors is suitable for children's and teenagers' rooms; the door panels can be combined to create nine different graphic effects in various colours. The Cabì walk-in wardrobe is designed for corners and comes in three heights, three depths and with three door types - sliding, hinged and folding; the interiors can be configured according to tastes and needs. The suspended or floor-standing walk-in Demo wardrobe comes with drawers, shelves, a loop system or clothes-hanging tubes. Designed to improve spatial organisation, the corner bridge wardrobe system leaves room for a bed or a desk, making the best use of available space. The linear bridging wardrobe allows users to choose between three different opening systems, with hinged, sliding or linear sliding doors and a bookcase as a supporting side panel. Nidi also offers modular, self-supporting bookcases or clothes hanger extensions. Luce is a modular floor-standing or wall-mounted bookcase that can be configured in various ways thanks to different arrangements of shelves, compartments and colours. Surfy is a free-standing bookcase whose light structure can easily function as a partition. Available in six versions, the tall model can also include a mirror.
Nidi for the bedroom and study area
All Nidi rooms feature nature-inspired colours, complements, accessories, wallpapers, fabrics, stickers - elements that can be personalised to create rhythm, character and personality. The Secret rectangular desk with a built-in mirror has a lift-up top to keep everything neat. William is a height-adjustable desk designed for needs that change over time. Folder is shaped just like a folder to hold notebooks and papers; it can be applied to many desk models, is available in different colours and can also serve as a cable guide. Nidi also produces soft and enveloping padded double beds with removable covers and single beds that are customisable in different colours with refined graphic effects.
