컬렉션: mist-o
Mist-o was founded in 2012 by the Japanese and Italian designers Noa Ikeuchi and Tommaso Nani, respectively, both trained at IED Milan. Initially, they worked individually, Ikeuchi with David Chipperfield Architects and Nani with Palomba Serafini Associati. Although their cultural backgrounds are very different, they have found common ground in a rigorous and functional approach to design, formal simplification, and geometric and rational aesthetics. They also share an interest in graphics, art and photography.
They began collaborating in 2010 and two years later founded Mist-o, a design studio based in Milan and Tokyo that works in interior design, art direction, industrial design and graphics. Their collaboration immediately led them to exhibit in prestigious contexts such as the Salone Satellite, the Triennale Design Museum in Milan, the MOMA design store and the Meet Design Talents in Turin. They collaborate with such prestigious brands as Antolini, Arflex Japan, Atipico, Ex-t, L'Abitare and Mogg. For Living Divani, they designed and produced the Inari line of sheet metal consoles and benches, the Moon table family, the Daydream dormeuse and a series of wool carpets. With Zanotta, they produced the Ambrosiano collection of tables and with Oluce, they created Las, a LED floor lamp with direct and indirect light. They also made a family of armchairs, sofas, poufs and tables for Frag. They produced a line of home objects for Cappellini, including the Atlantis ceramic vase. For Atipico, they designed the Prisoner aluminium fruit bowl, and for Ichendorf, a rich collection of vases, jugs and glassware.
Ikeuchi and Nani divide their time between Japan and Italy, geographic poles that allow Mist-o to draw on a varied and multi-ethnic design team and continuously cross-pollinate Italian tradition and Japanese culture. In 2022, Architectural Digest included them in its list of the 100 most influential global designers and creatives.
