Francesca Braga Rosa and Ivano Vianello created ivdesign.it, self-production of household supplies, in 2007 as a response to a new trend and an interest in a return to a simpler everyday life. The term self-production reflects the image of making, of a practical gesture, as opposed to the concept of design as a purely intellectual process. In the last decade, the designer has become the maker of his or her own work. Ivdesign.it designs furniture in such a way that its simplicity reflects the indiscreet appeal, both of the materials with which it is produced and of the design work. In an increasingly complex world, it becomes essential to have simple everyday products available.
