Italian from Russian origin, Ilia Potemine has always been attracted by craft and machineries. Maybe it comes from his grandfather, Russian engineer, but his will to create and build burns his hands. After some years in the commercial side of the design, Ilia Potemine founded the Be+Have concept in 2010. The Turin based artist wants to give life to objects and attract the spectator’s eye and imprint his vision, creating hand crafted limited edition series, based on contrasts and asymmetries .?Shapes and materials must be completely irrelevant of each other in order to create a total contrast that will remain impressed in the viewer’s imagination for a long time. Beauty is not the objective. Be+Have transmits energies to objects that are strictly hand made by the artist. 3D design and Cad are not involved in the process of realization and creation, allowing space for mistakes and imperfection as a part of the journey as everything happens for a reason.
