Area-17 is a full service architecture and interior design firm, whose philosophy of work is rooted in the Italian design culture. Its goal is providing clients with innovative solutions, fulfilling their emotional, aesthetic, operational, and communication objectives through an inclusive creative process. The firm works across various fields related to design, from architecture to product design, from marketing to education. Area-17 Architecture & Interiors was founded in Florence in 2004. Sharing the same cultural background developed at the University of Florence, its partners joined together to create an international practice. The firm’s strength is the synergy among the members of the group, who are first and foremost friends before business partners. Currently, Area-17 also has offices in Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Cuenca (Ecuador), and a media-lab in Sassari.
