Collection: Studiopepe
Studiopepe was founded in Milan in 2006 by university colleagues Chiara Di Pinto (born in Milan in 1976) and Arianna Lelli Mami (born in Desio in 1975), both of whom obtained their degrees in Industrial Design at the Milan Polytechnic. As a multifaceted design, architecture, graphics, communication, installations and creative direction agency, the studio stands out for its multidisciplinary approach. Their style can be defined as eclectic, drawing inspiration from the founders' sweeping iconographic and cultural references. The formal, chromatic and visionary dimension of Italian 1950s and 60s design has become fertile ground for Studiopepe to experiment with new aesthetic codes and give life to rigorous projects with a graphic and sculptural character. The agency collaborates with design companies to develop interior design projects, hotels, boutiques, exhibition booths, showrooms, exhibitions and styling projects and photoshoots for important magazines.
In 2012, Studiopepe designed the Milan flagship store for the Danish brand Republic of Fritz Hansen. That same year, for MaxMara Group, they consulted on materials and colours for the Max&Co. flagship in Milan and then in 2013for the new MaxMara building in Tokyo. In 2014, Kvadrat chose Studiopepe to design the multi-room installation to launch its new Raf Simons fabric collection. Studiopepe has also worked for Agape, &Tradition and Fendi. Their early projects include Kora, a ceramic vase designed in 2013 for Atipico in five colour variants, exhibited, along with the Ossimori collection of sculptural objects, at the W. Women in Italian Design at the Triennale Design Museum in Milan in 2016.
Studiopepe's collaboration with Baxter has been very fruitful, giving life to the following products: in 2018, the Zefir leather chair; in 2019, the Say Yes ceiling lamp and the Verre particulier series of small tables with marble base and glass top; in 2020, the leather Lazybones loungechair; the Azzal open bookcase; the Nanda wall lamp with indirect light; and the Jupiter living room tables. Numerous designs and colourways were developed for floors and walls for Ceramica Bardelli and ecological, fireproof and embossed wallpapers for Wall&deco. Strong graphics distinguish the rich collection of carpets and tapestries for CC-Tapis. The varied range of products designed for Essential Home includes the Philip and Francis Scott coffee tables, the Isadora fabric chair, the Zelda armchair, the Happy Few upholstered pouf, the Ezra dining table, and the Duncan sideboard. The Tacchini collection of products by Studiopepe includes poufs, vases in stoneware, ceramic and metal, the leather Five to Nine dormeuse, the Pluto round coffee table, the small Pastilles armchair. More recently, they collaborated with Ethimo to create Sling Chair, a garden armchair with which they won the 2021 Archiproducts Design Award, adding to accolades received from Frame Magazine in 2019 and Wallpaper* Design Awards in 2021.
