Stephan Veit was born in 1968; in 1996 he took his final degree in Product Design at the University GH in Kassel. In the years 1996 and 1997 he worked as research assistant at the Institute for Computer- Supported Visualization and Design at the University in Kassel. Particularly he was committed with research, development and evaluation on new and simplified processes for three-dimensional visualization. From 1997 to 2002 he worked as Senior Designer at the Office of Prof. Wulf Schneider und Partner in Stuttgart. Then in 2002 he founded his design studio “Stephan Veit Produktdesign” in Stuttgart. Since 2006 he is giving lectures on Material and Design at the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences.
Since today he has been rewarded with many design awards: Red dot Award for product design in 1999, Sedus no Limits; Design Center Stuttgart Award 1999, Sedus no Limits WS 20; Red dot Award for product design “best of the best” 2000, COR Arthe; IF Design Award 2002, Interlübke EO; Red dot Award for product design 2002, Sedus High End; Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany 2002, Interlübke EO. Among the Companies he has designed for there are: COR, Designo, Dieter Knoll, Interlübke, Potocco, Rolf Benz AG, Sedus Stoll AG, Tonon & C. , WK Wohnen.
