Collection: Spalvieri & Del Ciotto
Spalvieri & Del Ciotto Design Studio was created as a meeting place for ideas, research and experimentation. Driven by their quest for formal and functional purity, the designers’ work is built on the conviction that every design product should offer value as it is handed down to future generations, each one telling the story of a piece of our history and our culture. Through design, they seek to humanize new materials and new technologies, and to promote understanding and use of the most innovative objects. The Spalvieri & Del Ciotto Design Studio works with top names in Italian and international design, including Magis, Poltrona Frau, Fratelli Guzzini, Zanotta, Established & Sons, Lexon, Arena Waterinstinct, Mamoli and Colombo Design. In 2013, they won the “Top Young Italian Industrial Designers Prize”, awarded by Massimo Vignelli and rewarded with an exhibition at the Institute of Italian Culture in New York entitled the “Slow Design Exhibition”. Their international awards include the Red Dot Award, China Good Design, and German Design Award.
Born in 1982, Valentina Del Ciotto and Simone Spalvieri met in 2003 at SAAD in Ascoli Piceno, from which they graduated in Industrial and Environmental Design. They continued their studies at the Politecnico di Milano, taking a master’s degree in related subjects (Valentina Del Ciotto in Interior Design, Simone Spalvieri in Industrial Design), and then they immediately combined life and work by opening a studio together as a creative couple. After living and working in Milan and London, they decided to move their base to Tolentino, a small town immersed in nature, surrounded by manufacturing companies and industry.
