Collection: Morelato

Morelato is a furniture company born in Verona in the second half of the 20th century with historical and ideological roots in Italian crafts. Morelato's wood furniture pursues quality with an internal structure in blockboard or plywood, ensuring resistance to time and wear. In the decades of activity which have seen it grow and reach international renown, the brand has remained faithful to a philosophy that has never renounced artisinal production, rejecting the industrial manufacturing techniques to protect the Made-in-Italy cabinetmaking tradition. The working methods, choice of materials and meticulous attention to carving make Morelato a reference brand for people seeking aesthetic and structural excellence. Morelato products are associated with a style that uses methods that protect and perpetuate classic Made-in-Italy craft know-how to create highly versatile products, in step with or even ahead of the times. Innovation and research make the brand stand apart in the art design sector as a global Made-in-Italy emblem. Morelato covers every aspect of home furnishings and extends to the office and contract furniture sector, with striking solutions for public facilities and catering activities.

Crafts tradition for Morelato wood furniture

Morelato was born to the south of Verona when Aldo Morelato founded "Casa Rossa", a workshop for woodworking masters. Since its origins and until today, Morelato has chosen to carry on the tradition of Italian cabinetry, offering collections characterised by structural reliability and aesthetic elegance, thanks to skilful artisanship. Despite a proudly classical approach, the brand has been able to demonstrate particular sensibility to change. Morelato products start from 20th century stylistic canons perfectly expressed in the '900 collection. They evolve over time to propose complements in a thoroughly contemporary style, accepting the demands of minimal and linear taste. Morelato's furnishing accessories run the gamut of the entire home design sector, with wood the most representative and authentic symbol of the company's philosophy. Morelato sofas and armchairs are valuable works of art that fit perfectly into classical and modern contexts, ranging from liberty to 20th-century rationalism to works with markedly modern suggestions. Morelato provides complete home furnishings from the living area with tables, chairs and storage furniture to the sleeping area with beds, chests of drawers and wardrobes.

Certifications and the Art Museum. Morelato as a philosophy

The cabinetmaking tradition that animates Morelato's entire history is confirmed by the firebrand on every item. This has the value of a Certificate that guarantees the artisanal quality of its productions, proved by meticulous testing. Morelato is also certified UNI EN ISO 9001. In addition to obsessive attention to the production processes of each single furnishing object, Morelato combines an approach devoted to innovation with aesthetic research. The culture of design and experimentation finds its maximum expression in the Museum of Applied Furniture Art (MAAM), established by the historical Aldo Morelato Foundation in Cerea, near Verona, at the company headquarters in Villa Dionisi. Every year, the company launches a competition for young designers whose winning projects are housed in the museum, further developing the brand's well-established philosophy and identity. Since June 2009, MAAM is permanently included in the museum "network of deposits," which belongs to the Design Museum Fondazione Triennale di Milano. Morelato plays an active role in the organisation and management of MAAM events that contribute substantially to the diffusion of Made-in-Italy culture and design.
