Collection: Michael Sodeau
Michael Sodeau was born in London in 1969. He studied product design at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design where he graduated in 1994. He was a founding partner of Inflate, and set up his own design studio Michael Sodeau Partnership in 1997. In addition to designing for MSP, his own production company, Michael has designed for several international manufacturers including Abet, Architectural Lighting, Asplund, Bute, Christopher Farr, Cloth, E&Y Japan, Thonet Vienna, Gervasoni, Isokon Plus, Liv'it, Magis, Modus, Offecct, Royal Doulton, SCP, Swedese, Tronconi and Wedgwood, and has exhibited internationally with solo shows in London, New York, Stockholm and Tokyo, with a retrospective show in Paris.
Michael also has designs in the permanent collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum, and a book about his work entitled 'Once upon a line' and edited by Alexander Payne was published in 2000. He has won several awards including a Red Dot award for Best of Best in the product design category for the ANYTHING stationery range a brand developed by Sodeau for Suikosha in Japan.
