Collection: Emiliana design studio
In 1996 Ana and Emili founded Emiliana Design Studio based in Barcelona (Spain), working together on product design, furniture, lighting, design spaces and exhibitions. Emiliana Design Studio is known for its ability to provide a renewed focus on each project. Focus on experimentation with materials, objects and spaces, and manage user involvement in a participatory manner, without forgetting the functional, technical and productive aspects. Several of their designs are submitted to the permanent collection of Indianapolis Museum of Art, Fons Nationale d´Art Contemporain of France and Museu d’Arts Decoratives of Barcelona. They participated at MoMA Museum of Modern Art of New. York.
The designs of Emiliana are produced by Samsung Electronics Ltd, Toyota Motors, Kettal, Joquer, Nani Marquina, Escofet, Women’Secret, Arbora & Ausonia, Antonio Puig-Comme des Garçons, Uno Design, Richter Spielgeräte, Domestic, Punt Mobles, Enric Rovira Xocolater, Marset, Dune New York. Emiliana Design designed the exhibitions for Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB), Municipal Toyota Museum of Art, Centre cultural Caixa Catalunya-La Pedrera, Institut Ramon Llull (Museum für Angewandte Kunst Frankfurt, Salvador Dalí Museum Florida, among others.
Emiliana has been awarded with ADIFAD PRIZE for the Collector Lamp (2005), Special mention BARCELONA CITY AWARD IN DESIGN for the exhibition Alehop! (2003), Special Mention Jury ADIFAD Prize for Flying Carpet (2003), FAD PRIZE Ephemeral Architecture -light installation in “La Pedrera at night” Casa Milà, by Gaudí. Barcelona (2000), FIRST PRIZE OF DOMUS BBJ DESIGN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION new ideas of Boeing Business Jet Interiors, 2000, BARCELONA CITY AWARD IN DESIGN (1999).
