Collection: Aldo Spinelli

Aldo Spinelli's entrepreneurial adventure began in 1970, when at just 21 years old, together with his cousins Alberto Spinelli and Giovanni Anzani, he took over the fortunes of the family's artisan firm, founded in 1942. Very soon the company, which produces furniture for interior design, expanded under his leadership and became a joint stock company. Before the 1990s, focusing essentially on innovation and marketing, Poliform SpA conquered international markets, making its products appreciated for the high level of materials and workmanship. With foresight and stubbornness, it continued to renew and innovate its company. It has thus increased its production divisions to four, located in the towns of Inverigo, Arosio, Alzate Brianza and Anzano del Parco for the lines: day, night, complements and upholstered furniture, and in Lurago d'Erba for kitchens. Also located in Inverigo are the contract division, created to develop the international supply sector, the new service center that houses the company's showroom and sales offices. Thanks to its commitment, Poliform SpA has become one of the most important companies in the high-quality furniture sector, with more than 50 percent of its turnover coming from international markets.

On the occasion of the launch of the Le Briccole di Venezia collection, Davide and Maurizio Riva asked their friend Aldo Spinelli to design a piece of furniture using briccole wood. Given the importance of the project involving internationally renowned designers, Aldo Spinelli wanted to make his contribution by designing for Riva 1920.
