Design studio established by Annalisa Dominoni and Benedetto Quaquaro with the aim to make design crossing research and technological innovation with poetry. Both architects, PhD, specializing in Space design and extreme environments, they experiment and design by hybridizing space and terrestrial technologies with the aim of creating new products for fashion, home, office and the environment. The constant research of transversality and the multidisciplinary approach lead them to operate in very different areas: transportation design for the big industry, fashion tech, collections of objects and furniture for companies, limited editions for art and design galleries. In 2015 they designed Leonardo, the new trains of Milan underground for ATM, produced by Hitachi Rail Italy and for which they received the Eccellence della Lombardia Award ADI Design Index 2016.
They collaborate permanently with the main international Space Agencies and with important design companies, at the same time they conduct research activities through the institutional teaching and publication of essays on the project culture. They are professors at the School of Design of Politecnico di Milano, where they created the 1st Space Design course, Space4InspirAction, supported by the European Space Agency (ESA), and visiting professor in various international universities. In 2016 they were invited to direct the Italian section of Couture in Orbit, the 1st fashion tech project curated by ESA, a capsule collection that integrates space technologies and created to be worn on Earth. In 2015 they created and realized the international project Vino+Design, presented at the Milan International Expo, which involved design schools and prestigious Italian and French wineries.
