컬렉션: Palomba Serafini Associati

Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba, born in 1961 and 1963 respectively, founded their studio in Milan in 1994 after obtaining their architecture degrees in Rome. Their partnership, which has given birth to numerous projects ranging from product to yacht design, is characterised by a shared vision that never detaches architecture from design. Their idea of design includes experimentation, innovation and a synthesis of form, function, aesthetics and well-being. The couple collaborates with some of the world's leading brands like Cappellini, Boffi, Driade, Flaminia, Foscarini, Ideal Standard, Poltrona Frau, Kartell, Zanotta, Zucchetti, Kos. In 2011, they received the Compasso d'Oro ADI award for the Kos Lab 03 free-standing washbasin, which for the first time integrated a towel holder.

The designers have played a leading role in the world of bathroom furnishingsalways finding innovative solutions geared towards efficiency and durability. For Serafini and Palomba, a holistic vision of living is necessary to make the most intimate and personal room of the home comfortable. One example is their reinterpretation of designer archetypes created for Ideal Standard's Atelier collection (of which Roberto Palomba with ps+a Palomba Serafini associati is creative director). Tipo-Z and Linda-X pay homage to the works of Gio Ponti and Achille Castiglioni, enhancing them in an original project. In almost thirty years of activity, Ludovica+Roberto Palomba have investigated and explored numerous product types. They have received awards, honourable mentions and recognitions, the most significant of which, in addition to the Compasso d'Oro, include the Elle Deco International Design Award, the ADI Design Index, the Red Dot Award and various Archiproducts Design Awards.

In parallel with their work as designers, they also work on architecture projects and installations. As art directors and marketing experts, they consult for the world's most prestigious companies. Their architectural work includes the renovation of Palazzo Daniele in Gagliano del Capo, a 19th-century building converted into a boutique hotel. The restoration sought to enhance the character of the existing architecture by having it dialogue with works of art and pieces of contemporary design. Also in the province of Lecce is The House Boat, a private villa in Gallipoli conceived as a riad with a sequence of courtyards that create different levels of privacy while maintaining solid links with the outdoor context. More recently, Palomba Serafini and Paolo Stella, an actor and social talent, collaborated to design Stella's home in Milan, imagining a changing scenario of backdrops and stage sets in which furniture and objects become the stars of the space. In 2007 the German publisher Hatje Cantz Verlag published the monograph "Ludovica + Roberta Palomba. Bathrooms. From inspiration to lifestyle".
