컬렉션: Lodes

Lodes is an Italian brand specializing in the production of interior lighting. As with many Italian brands that are ambassadors of made in Italy, the story begins in a workshop or artisan laboratory. This was also the case for Angelo Tosetto, who began his business in an artistic chandelier store in Venice, of course in Murano blown glass, in 1950. In the late 1970s, Andrea Tosetto began his journey in the workshop after his art studies, and while continuing in the wake of his father Angelo, he introduced workmanship with a more modern taste and approached design. In 1997, the artisan workshop was transformed into the Studio Italia Design company, projected toward an international dimension, on the push of collaborations with established designs and introducing technological innovations. In the new headquarters located in the industrial area of Marcon, on the mainland, talents such as Denis Santachiara, Pio and Tito Toso, and Karim Rashid pass through, while Andrea Tosetto himself designs pieces still in the catalog today, such as the Kelly hanging lamp. Third-generation management began in 2013, with the arrival of Massimiliano Tosetto as artistic director. To him we owe the development of proprietary LED modules, the fruitful collaboration with designer Luca Nichetto, and the rebranding operation, launched in 2020, that ferries the "old" Studio Italia Design to the new brand, called Lodes. Despite the evolution, the brand's philosophy remains the same as in the early days, deeply linked to the tradition of the area: quality craftsmanship, aesthetics and innovation. Today Lodes is present in more than 90 countries and boasts 3 proprietary showrooms, in Paris, Doha (Qatar) and Marcon, near Venice.

Lodes cluster suspensions, contemporary design and spirit

Cluster suspensions are one of the hottest trends of the moment, thanks to the possibility of creating versatile lighting designs, suitable for any environment and with great aesthetic impact. Almost all the pendant lamps in the Lodes catalog lend themselves to dramatic cluster compositions. After all, it is impossible not to be fascinated by the perfection of a bright, transparent sphere suspended in the air, such as the Random Solo pendant lamp, designed by Chia-Ying Lee. Alone or grouped in striking chandeliers, Random solo is available in a sophisticated white satin finish, or transparent in white, black, warm gray and red. The A-Tube system consists of ceiling lamps with a slender cylindrical shape, made of aluminum with three finishes and declined in three lengths. The lamps can be mounted directly on the ceiling or suspended, individually or in customized clusters. Also available in A-Tube Nano and A-Tube Nano Duo versions. Among the 2023 novelties, the Volum pendant lamp, designed in collaboration with Snøhetta studio, stands out. The simple, somewhat irregular sphere shape provides uniform all-around illumination. Made of white blown glass with a transparent power cord, it is available in 4 sizes and can be mounted individually or in striking clusters with lamps of different sizes.

Lodes floor and table lamps, refined eclecticism

The Lodes catalog also offers a choice of refined floor and table lamps, such as Croma, designed by Luca Nichetto, which combines a purged and unusual aesthetic with state-of-the-art technology. The lamp develops in height as a simple cylinder, starting with the integrated conical base, and diffuses light from the top and vertical slits, creating striking effects. Revolutionary is the switch, integrated along the cylinder and ring-shaped, activated with a simple rotation. Croma is declined in four brand-new finishes, from the two metallic ombré effects that veer from green to black, bronze and nickel, joined by versions in black and white, embellished with a textured finish. Two outstanding creations stand out in the catalog, testifying to Lodes' long experience and mastery of the art of glassmaking. The first is the Flar table and floor lamp, inspired by ancient wind lanterns. Inside the transparent blown glass shade unfolds the illuminating body, a tube-shaped LED bulb, which, when lit, simulates the flame of a candle. The great refinement in details extends to the lamp holder, made of steel and laser-cut in the shape of a flower. Flar is declined in two sizes, in two colors for the glass, honey and turquoise, and in two finishes for the base, champagne and earth. The second lamp that flaunts great conceptual, design and executive virtuosity is the Blow LED table lamp, design by Pio & Tito Toso. The transparent blown glass shade, reminiscent of the shape of an Edison light bulb, in turn contains a miniature adjustable lamp, capable of diffusing ever-changing light.
