컬렉션: 리빙 디바니 (Living Divani)

Founded in the province of Como in 1969 by Luigi and Renata Bestetti, Living Divani is a company specialized in the design and realization of furniture for indoor and outdoor. Since its beginnings, when the founders took over a Milanese upholstered workshop, Living Divani has shown a strong propensity for innovative and cutting-edge design. After working with Roche Bobois, who projected the company into the French and Canadian markets, in the late 1980s Piero Lissoni became Art Director. The collaboration with the architect marks the turning point for Living Divani, which enters the ranks of internationally recognized Italian companies of excellence, grouped in the Altagamma Foundation. The Living Divani catalogue offers a complete range of upholstered products for the living environment, from sofas to seats, but also tables and accessories, including carpets, furniture for the sleeping area, for the entrance and the outdoor. Living Divani products are characterized by a recognizable aesthetic, given by an essential design, discreet elegance and a workmanship that combines craftsmanship and technological innovation.

The iconic products of Living Divani, timeless elegance

Living Divani made its debut by offering the market a catalogue of upholstered furniture, sofas and armchairs essentially, becoming in just a few years a leader in the sector. The collaboration with Piero Lissoni has given life to products that have now entered the Olympus of design icons, such as the Calibano line, the designer's debut product in the company. The sofa, the armchair and the pouf are now a classic and the sober design, halfway between tradition and innovation, dictated the trends throughout the nineties. In 1995 the Frog collection of armchairs and easy chairs appeared, still produced today. The Frog armchair, ancestor of the series, is made with a chrome-plated or powder-coated steel frame in gunmetal grey, burnished color, RAL - K7 9010 white or RAL - K7 9017 black and, on request, in matt satin-finish AISI 316 stainless steel. The cushions that make up the seat are upholstered in quilted fabric or leather. The generous dimensions of the seat, slightly inclined and resting on low legs, guarantee maximum comfort, while the aerial and essential structure decrees its elegance. The collection includes the garden armchairs Carbon Frog, in carbon fiber, and Frog with seat and backrest in woven cellulose rope or PVC. The Wall collection, presented in 2000 with the basic model, is still the bestseller of the company today. The removable sofa Wall can be considered one of the first modular seating systems, and is composed of several elements that allow infinite configurations. Wall is also characterized by simple and essential shapes, in practice parallelepipeds that compose the seats, backrests and armrests, and that assembled at will form simple sofas or equipped with chaise longue, armchairs, poufs, covered in leather or fabric. In addition to Wall over the time have been added Extra Wall, which offers additional modules and compositional possibilities, Softwall and Extra Soft.

Chairs, tables, accessories and outdoor furniture Living Sofas

Although upholstery remains at the heart of Living Divani’s interest, since 2010 the company has started several production lines that include chairs, tables, accessories and outdoor furniture. This revolution is based on the Family Chairs collection, designed by Junya Ishigami, made entirely of steel and powder-coated metal mesh in white RAL-K7 9016. The Rabbit&The Tortoise coffee tables collection, designed by Studio Juju, includes 7 garden and interior tables of different shapes and sizes, and is characterized by curved and irregular geometries. The only 3 mm thick steel sheet top is laser-cut and rests on thin steel tubular legs. For the bedroom environment, Piero Lissoni recently signed the Floyd-Hi fabric double bed design, re-proposing the minimalist matrix aesthetic canons typical of his unmistakable style. Another novelty in the Living Divani catalogue is the double-sided Islands sideboard created by Stephen Burks, an open-air container that can be accessed throughout the perimeter thanks to the vertical rotating strips. The Flap table-container collection, born from an idea of Studio Klass, combines functionality and aesthetics, thanks to the ingenious lid-plates that make the space underneath accessible. The Sailor bookcase, designed by David Lopez Quincoces, is inspired by the nautical world, and is made with steel floor-to-ceiling columns, to which the shelves are attached, characterized by the curved bottom side keelboat. The range of accessories has been entrusted to the imagination of emerging designers, such as Harry Paul, who has designed colorful carpets such as the Sin Titulo or Mist-o line, with its patterned carpets; or the floor lamp Light With a Table designed by Keiji Takeuchi, and the Aero entrance cabinet created by Shibuleru.
