Hans Könecke

Architect Hans Könecke designed various pieces of furniture for DK Muebles in his studio in Caracas, Venezuela, including the D49 desk and conference chair. The first serial production took place after Könecke founded the company TECTA in Lauenförde at the end of the 50s.Hans Könecke produced a contemporary furniture program with a large number of his own designs under the Tecta brand in the 1960s and 1970s. In 1972, Werner and Axel Bruchhäuser took over the company and realigned it. Tecta still produces the beautifully designed D49 in its own workshops in Lauenförde.
