컬렉션: 루카 니케토 (Luca Nichetto)
Luca Nichetto was born in 1976 in Venice, where he first attended the Istituto d'Arte, then the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia (IUAV), obtaining his degree in Industrial Design. In 1999, he designed his first Murano glass objects for Salviati and began working with Foscarini, a company for which he not only designs, but is also involved in the brand's research and development division. In 2006, he opened an industrial design firm, Nichetto & Partners, with offices in Venice and Stockholm. Nichetto's talent was recognised early in his career. His work won numerous international awards: the Gran Design Award (2008), the Chicago Atheneum Museum of Architecture's Good Design Award (2008), the IF Product Design Award (2008) and the Elle Premio Designer of the Year at the Decoration International Design Awards (EDIDA) in the Young Designer Talent category (2009).
During his career as a "multidisciplinary" designer, as many like to define him, he has collaborated with important international brands like Ethimo, Venini, Salviati, Foscarini and Cassina. In 2020, he was appointed artistic director of Wittmann. For the brand's collections, he reinterpreted Viennese and Venetian traditions in a contemporary key, referencing the past with a lighter and more current style.
Appointed artistic director of the young French company, La Manufacture, Nichetto launched the brand with a mixture of interior design furniture, a fashion capsule collection and a brick-and-mortar boutique in Paris. In twenty years, Nichetto has designed important objects like the handle for DND Martinelli; glass vases for Venini and Salviati; outdoor furniture for Ethimo; chairs for Et Al.; modular lamps for Hem; furniture for Cassina; armchairs for &Tradition; lamps for Foscarini.
