Collection: Pininfarina
Pininfarina is a universally known brand that embodies Made-in-Italy design excellence. The company’s intense activity spans from industrial design (electronics, sports goods, equipment, packaging), to interior design and architecture (residences, public, commercial and hospitality facilities) and the transportation sector (cars, planes, yachts). Pininfarina’s success began in the automotive sector. The Cisitalia 202, designed by Pininfarina and presented in 1947 at the Milan Triennale, was the world’s first car in the MoMA permanent collection. Paolo Pininfarina took over from his father Sergio in 1982. In 1986, he became the director of the newly founded Pininfarina Extra, engaged in industrial design, interior design, lifestyle design, architecture, nautical and graphic design projects. In 1993, the Turin-based company began a long partnership with Lavazza, creating the iconic coffee machines, Espresso Point, Lavazza Blue, and the more recent Firma.
The Home Design brand expanded the company’s activities to include high-end furniture for residential and contract uses. Pininfarina Home Design is an ambitious project that proposes technologically advanced and innovative interior design solutions. It offers furnishings and accessories distinguished by ergonomic and functional quality and an elegant design with fluid lines and a futuristic feel. Among Home Design’s exceptional partners is the Reflex brand, whose Segno Collection offers a complete and integrated living room system. It is composed of the modular Stratum, Segno and Segno GT sofas, the Segno Bed daybed and the Segno and Speedform hanging lamps. Completing the collection are the Segno 72 table with a metal-reinforced composite material base, the Vela leather chair inspired by car seats, a modular bookcase, and a sideboard with integrated LED lighting.
Pininfarina began a fruitful collaboration with the Chinese group Higold, creating Bold with its vaguely retro mood and the Onda outdoor furniture collections that won the Red Dot Design Award. Partnership with Snaidero led to the creation of some latest-generation kitchens. Vision is characterised by fluid lines and integrated LED lighting. Other distinctive kitchen models include Ola25 and Ola20, which won the 2011 Good Design Award. For Calligaris, Pininfarina designed the extraordinary Orbital table - a perfect synthesis of technology, innovation, function and elegance. The Ares Line includes the Xten office seating collection, the surprising Première auditorium seating system, and the PF3 line for entry spaces and waiting rooms. Collaboration with Casalgrande Padana gave birth to the Earth porcelain stoneware wall tile collection, which received a Special Mention at the 2017 German Design Awards. Characterised by its strong identity and unmistakable style, Pininfarina Home Design is universally recognised for reliability, expertise and innovation, with more than 600 design projects to its credit.
