Collection: Bonaldo

Bonaldo turns ideas into emotions. For over 80 years, the Italian company has been designing and marketing interior furnishings, contract furnishings, decorative elements and other solutions for indoor environments. Creations that make the brand a protagonist of Made in Italy in the world, and that express the firm intention to propose modern and innovative works. The design thus becomes a means to experiment with new materials, create original shapes and enter new dimensions of style. From sofas to tables collections, from armchairs to accessories, Bonaldo renews its creative force and its ability to relate to the fashions and needs of the public. In innovation and the creation of new trends and furnishing concepts, Bonaldo finds its ideal dimension. A purely Italian dimension, which is renewed each time remaining faithful to the concepts of creativity and quality. All this is reflected in the skilful use of colours, or in the dynamism of the materials and structures of the sofas, chairs, furniture for the living and sleeping areas.

Bonaldo, living and sleeping area furniture

If the desire to innovate is one of Bonaldo's hallmarks, another strength of the Italian brand is certainly the ability to collaborate with designers from all over the world. Mauro Lipparini and Ryosuke Fukusada are just some of the names that have chosen to link their names to Bonaldo's, designing furnishings that are increasingly popular with lovers of beauty. A great success for Bonaldo is the Poly chair, created by Karim Rashid and awarded the Best Design 2007, the Good Design Award 2008 and the Red Dot Award 2008. The polycarbonate structure gives stability, strength and exquisitely geometric lines. The same game of profiles and strokes is present in the Big Table. Alain Gilles' creation is one of the company's most iconic products, and is surprising for its bold colour combinations and the use of a steel support structure. The period between 2013 and 2015 marks a further increase in the quality of supply. The Octa table, by Bartoli Design, is unanimous on the international scene. The Sol and Tracks models, by Bartoli Design and Alain Gilles, are awarded the Good Design Award, demonstrating the importance achieved by the activity in markets all over the world.

From beds to chairs: the story of Bonaldo

Bonaldo's design journey began in 1936, when Giovanni Vittorio Bonaldo chose to specialise in metalworking for the furniture industry. The handover with Albino Bonaldo, son of the founder, started the production of beds and bed bases, while 1971 marked the first participation in the Milan Furniture Fair. The Milan trade fair will become a fixed appointment for the company, which over the years will have the opportunity to be the protagonist especially with the sofa bed collections. Bonaldo's history is full of commercial successes that identify the company's excellent products. The first episode worthy of note is linked to the folding chair Più, designed by Chiaramonte and Marin, and winner of the Young & Design Award in 1996. The arrival of the new millennium marks a phase of renewed vigour for the company, which in a few years is awarded the most coveted prizes in the world of design. The 2000s are in fact full of great commercial satisfaction, as well as an important corporate restructuring that led the company, in 2011, to the opening of a new company showroom designed by Mauro Lipparini. Finally, in 2016, the brand celebrates its first 80 years, increasing its presence on international markets. More than 70% of Bonaldo's production is in fact oriented towards foreign territories. The company's design furniture thus finds its place in domestic and professional environments all over the world, and reaffirms the importance of quality Made in Italy.
