Pedrali chairs

Seatings are the furnishing element on which the company focuses its image the most. Frida chair is a distinctive product resulting from a collaboration, signed by Odoardo Fioravanti, well-known designer who studied Industrial Design at the Design Department of the Politecnico di Milano. With Frida, Pedrali has won the XXII Compasso d’Oro ADI "for pure sculptural beauty". The solid oak structure is combined with the three-dimensional plywood shell achieving the beauty of shapes, innovation and love for details. Frida chair is recognizable for being resistant, extremely light and ergonomic, besides being available in many different finishes.

Pedrali and the environment sustainability

The company takes advantage of high-quality raw materials as well as sustainable design. This leads to a recycling process of plastic materials made of fine and eco-compatible raw materials. Through this mechanism, Pedrali wants to promote the re-use of waste, which necessarily leads to the reduction of harmful emissions. Many are the company certifications among which there is (o are?) the ISO 9001 certifying the quality of business processes, ISO 14001 for a production based on a sustainable environmental policy and also the FSC™ C 114358 chain of custody certification, certifying the use of wood coming from woods managed in full accordance with the environment. As for the security aspect, Pedrali meets the European standards- UNI-EN 16139:2013 – of safety for collective seatings. Since 2017 the company uses plant-derived water-based paints, leading to a cleaner and less polluted environment. This avoids the dispersion of the chemical compounds of paints which evaporate causing damages: less air pollution, and vast energy savings, leading to the reduction of CO2 emissions.
In 2020 the company completed the study Corporate Carbon Footprint, that measures the total amount of greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions caused, both directly or indirectly, by the activities carried out by an organization in a given time span.
