Collection: Varaschin

Founded in 1969 in Vittorio Veneto, in the Treviso foothills of the Alps, Varaschin is now among the leading outdoor furniture brands. The company's history begins in the family barn, where the very young brothers Ugo and Pietro Varaschin learned to weave natural fibers by hand. The boom in rattan and wicker furniture in the 1970s were the first springboard for Varaschin, which began exporting its products. However, material scarcity in the following years dictates a crucial turning point in the company's fate. The Varaschins replace exotic fibers with materials such as rope, woven webbing, and acrylic thread. The 2011 crisis leads to a restructuring of the company, starting with the catalog, from which the indoor range is eliminated to specialize solely on outdoor. It goes from a hundred collections to about thirty, with price lists modulated on three price levels, from entry level to high-end. Unmistakable common denominators are a recognizable design for each collection, quality, comfort, ergonomics, and, above all, hand weaving. Today the brand is present in more than 70 countries and boasts award-winning collections through collaboration with established designers, and provides furniture for the residential, contract and hospitality sectors.

Varaschin armchairs, sofas and loungers : style and comfort for outdoor living rooms

Designed by Monica Armani, Emma is one of the iconic collections in the Varaschin catalog. It is a complete line that includes a range of seats, tables, complements and accessories. Featuring mélange woven polypropylene rope elements, they stand out for their elegance, functionality and versatility. The Emma Daybed garden bed, spacious and comfortable, and the Emma Family king-size version, composed of two symmetrical elements, stand out. The Emma garden sofa is inspired by classic models, with its high, enveloping backrest, also replicated in the Emma Daybed and Emma Compact models. Again a classic quote, namely the bergère à oreilles, for the Emma armchair, which enhances the uniqueness and elegance of the weave. To complete the furnishings, the catalog offers the coordinating complements Emma partition screen, Emma floor lamps, the distinctive Emma Sunscreen sunshade, and the Emma potavaso. The modular Bento sofa, design Calvi Brambilla, multiplies the furnishing possibilities of the outdoor living room, thanks to the modularity of the seating. Regular shapes of different sizes alternate with irregular modules with oblique sides, so as to form unexpected curves. Removable backrests and armrests add comfort and versatility to the ensemble. Lightness and elegance characterize the Summer Set collection, designed by Christophe Pillet. The shell of the seats is made of a distinctive wire mesh weave, while the frame is composed of a thin-section powder-coated steel tubing. The upholstery, covered in capitonné fabric, perfectly matches the shape of the shell, giving the two-seater settee and in the garden rocking chair a distinctly contemporary look, while the auricle armchair, with its matching footrest, winks at classical suggestions. Completing the collection are the high stool for the bar area and the tilting coffee table.

Varaschin, functional and designer garden tables and chairs

The Varschin catalog offers a wide range of garden chairs and tables to furnish the dining area in style. The System collection, designed by Daniele Lo Scalzo Moscheri, includes two garden tables, one rectangular and one square, a high table and a coffee table, a bench and a stool for seating. The line is characterized by an essential design and thin thicknesses, diluted by rounded edges. Lightweight and sturdy, the elements of the System collection are made with a powder-coated aluminum frame and HPL or ceramic top, while the bench is available with a teak, HPL or upholstered seat. The System Star garden table is a piece with great aesthetic impact, thanks to the legs that develop into a game of intertwined oblique lines. It owes to the creativity of Edoardo Gherardi the Noss collection of stackable garden chairs, made of aluminum. Essential, practical and lightweight, the Noss chairs, declined in the classic, stool and with armrests versions, feature a round-section tubular steel frame and aluminum sheet seat, which dialogue with each other in a game of contrasts. Also by Edoardo Gherardi is the Flexion collection of garden tables, characterized by an original design that breaks the rules of symmetry. The thin-thick top, declined in circular, elliptical or organic forms, rests on a curved steel leg, inserted on a thin steel plate that ensures its balance. The elliptical and organic versions, reminiscent of the egg shape, rest on two legs, only one of which has the curved shape. Alain Gilles signs the Link collection of garden tables, characterized by a recognizable design, thanks to the particular bracket that connects leg and top. A detail that gains more strength in the wooden table version, with solid teak legs and teak top, and powder-coated steel bracket.
